Monday | Golf Cruise Day 1 |

BANGKOK-KANCHANABURI-BAN KAO

Depart from Bangkok by van/coach to Kanchanaburi

First day’s golf is at the Mission Hills Golf Club Kanchanaburi. Mission Hills Country Club in Kanchanaburi is one of three Jack Nicklaus-designed Mission Hills courses in Thailand, alongside Khao Yai Golf Club and Mission Hills Phuket. Nestled on a gently sloping hillside, the course is surrounded by lush nature and mature palm trees lining the fairways of this River Kwai gem. True to Nicklaus’ signature style, the course challenges players with water hazards, sand traps, dense tree lines, and prominent waste bunkers.

This is a course that rewards skill and precision—only strong players are likely to play to their handicap. Stray too close to the thick Bermuda grass near the bunkers, and you’re likely facing a double bogey. Five of the holes feature split fairways, offering different angles and levels of risk for your approach to the green. With five well-spaced tee boxes, the course caters to golfers of all skill levels.

The par-5 holes are standouts. Hole 8, for example, is a long, well-protected fairway with bunkers to the left and center, and a scenic water hazard with reeds lining the right side. Hole 12 adds even more drama—a wide creek cuts through the fairway from tee to green, with a double fairway allowing a choice between a safer left route or a riskier right. The stream, however, often proves unforgiving. Hole 17, a par-4, adds another layer of difficulty with an approach shot to an island green.

Surrounded by jungle-covered hills and peaceful countryside, Mission Hills Kanchanaburi offers a serene yet challenging golfing experience.

  • Embark RV River Kwai at Nong Ya dock
  • Lunch on board while cruising on Kwai Noi River
  • Afternoon at leisure!
  • Dinner and overnight on board, near Ban Kao

Wednesday | Golf Cruise Day 3 |

SAI YOK-SAI YOK YAI-BAN HIN DAT

Breakfast on board.
Nestled in Thailand’s Kanchanaburi Province, Grand Prix Golf Club is a stunning, well-maintained course that promises to take your breath away. Expansive fairways and panoramic views of distant Burmese mountain ranges create a dramatic and unforgettable setting. A large river meanders through the course, enhancing its natural beauty.

The layout features striking mounding and undulating fairways and greens, offering both challenge and charm. Many holes boast split fairways, giving golfers the option of taking a safer route or opting for a more daring line. The multi-tiered greens are full of subtle breaks, making club selection crucial—misjudge it, and three-putts are almost inevitable.

The club’s signature hole, the par-5 fifth, stretches 557 yards and follows the natural contours of the landscape. Its large, elevated green is guarded by water on three sides, demanding precision and strategy. Even three well-played shots may not be enough to secure par.

Recognized as one of Thailand’s top courses, Grand Prix Golf Club is an essential stop for any golfer visiting Kanchanaburi.

  • Lunch at a local restaurant nearby.
  • Back to the boat and continue cruising.
  • The rest of the afternoon at leisure!
  • “Farewell Dinner” and overnight on board.
